DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

As Global Business Process Owner, Procure-to-Pay (P2P)****, you will be responsible for:

Strategic Process Ownership:

  • Own and govern global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and objectives. Serve as the global point of contact for P2P process escalations, queries, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and drive the global P2P roadmap, balancing standardization for efficiency against flexibility for local compliance needs.
  • Act as the key authority on P2P topics for major Finance Transformation initiatives, including ERP rollouts (NetSuite, SAP), Target Operating Model evolution, and others.

Process Standardization, Optimization & Compliance:

  • Establish Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) on P2P scope, including formalization of end-to-end process flows. Maintain P2P process taxonomy and spearhead Business Process Management (BPM) initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to standardize P2P processes across Regions and BU’s. Drive process improvement and automation, working across functional teams (IT, Regional finance, etc.) to align on best practices, policies, and global standards.
  • Lead change management efforts to onboard country teams onto target process.
  • Initiate policies on Indirect Procurement and identify “quick wins” and efficiencies.
  • Support Internal Control framework through operational risk assessment and design of Key Controls. Act as point of escalation in case of IC compliance issues.
  • Support data governance to ensure data integrity and quality in financial reporting.

Systems & Technology:

  • Drive implementation and improvement of IT systems to support P2P process improvement, including ERP (NetSuite / SAP), invoice processing (Kefron), payments processing and treasury (Kyriba), T&E processing (Navan), etc.
  • Support all phases of IT projects including requirements gathering, solutioning and design, monitoring build, UAT, Go Live support, change management, etc.
  • Act as a key point of contact for IT teams and system administrators on P2P topics. Perform critical review and prioritization of User Requests on P2P systems and participate in IT Solutioning Committees.
  • Act as the formal Group sign-off on P2P business requirements in the context of ERP integrations and other major Finance IT projects).

Operating Model and Organization:

  • Support centralization of activities (transition to a Shared Services organization), including implementation of process & IT enablers, Knowledge Transfer support, etc.
  • Support the harmonization of Country and Regional Finance organizations, as well as that of job roles and functions within operational P2P teams.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Develop and implement a culture of continuous improvement within global P2P teams by driving operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the P2P function to track progress and drive improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Global Business Process Owner, Procure-to-Pay (P2P)****:

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in the field of P2P, Finance Operations, Procurement, Global Process Management, or business consulting; experience operating in a Shared Services (SSC) environment is a plus.

Key Technical Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of end-to-end P2P lifecycle including controls, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite) and P2P platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Kefron, Esker, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading global process transformations in large, complex organizations and working with matrixed organizational structures.
  • Proven experience in process modelling and Business Process Reengineering (BPR); proficiency with business process modelling tools like MS Visio or Aris is required.
  • Experience in driving IT system improvement and/or implementation.
  • Excellent capacity for formalization, presenting ideas and conclusions in an impactful and compelling fashion; mastery of MS Excel and PPT are required.
  • Project Management skills are appreciated.

  • High degrees of autonomy and proactiveness; ability to drive a complex agenda and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, while maintaining accountability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel within Europe and internationally as required (maximum 25%).
