Job Title: Test Engineer

Time Zone: IST time zone, In IST 10:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), specifically Agile methodologies.
  2. Test Designing - techniques, methods, etc.
  3. Test Execution & Defect Tracking. Exp. on test management tools such as Jira, ALM
  4. Experience with database queries and data validation using SQL.
  5. Knowledge of mobile application testing.
  6. Familiarity with basic automation concepts and scripting languages.

Role & Responsibilities / Job Description:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), specifically Agile methodologies.

  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans.

  • Execute manual test cases and report defects/bugs.

  • Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Quality Center).

  • Track, analyze, and communicate test results, ensuring defects are logged in a detailed, efficient, and accurate manner.

  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and verify corrective actions.

  • Experience with database queries and data validation using SQL.

  • Knowledge of web and mobile application testing.

  • Familiarity with basic automation concepts and scripting languages is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly.

  • Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for identifying potential issues.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently.
