Working closely with Product Management and teams across Engineering, you will develop software that has a direct impact on our customers' business and Kong's success.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\n* Implement and maintain services that power Konnect, such as Kong's cloud-hosted control plane.\n\n* Contribute to Kong's Cloud and Enterprise services.\n\n* Design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.\n\n* Support those services in production by participating in an on-call rotation.\n\n* Write automated tests to ensure behavior of code and avoid regressions.\n\n* Mentor other team members.\n\nWhat you'll bring:\n\n* 5+ years working in a team to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software solutions.\n\n* Experience in Go.\n\n* Experience designing, prototyping, building and debugging microservices architectures and distributed systems.\n\n* Experience performing DevOps monitoring and observability.\n\n* Experience with working or developing L4/L7 proxies such as Nginx, HA-proxy, Envoy, or others.\n\n* Experience developing and supporting a large scale SaaS platform; with working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.\n\n* Expertise in designing and writing APIs, and a firm grasp of API lifecycle management.\n\n* Expertise with data modeling in relational databases.\n\n* Understanding of and development with git and Github workflows.\n\n* Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing.\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nBonus Points:\n\n* Deep experience with Go; effective go standards.\n\n* Experience with NGINX/OpenResty/Kong/LuaJIT.\n\n* Experience with Datadog/OpenTelemetry.\n\n* Experience contributing to Open Source Software projects.\n\n#LI-NS2
