Director of M&A Operations Integrations
Your Impact
As Axon accelerates its growth through strategic acquisitions, this role will be at the center of how we bring new companies into our operational ecosystem. You will own the end-to-end operational integration of acquired businesses — connecting planning, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and quality into a unified operating model. Your work will directly determine how quickly and effectively Axon captures value from each deal, and you'll have a seat at the table from due diligence through full integration.
What You'll Do
Location: Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ Headquarters
Reports to: EVP, Operations
Direct Reports: none
Travel: Extensive travel required during due diligence and integration phases
- Lead operational integration planning and execution for M&A transactions, spanning planning, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, quality, and systems
- Participate in pre-close operational due diligence — assessing the target company's operational maturity, risks, supplier dependencies, systems landscape, and integration complexity
- Develop and maintain integration playbooks, timelines, and milestone trackers that drive accountability and transparency across workstreams
- Serve as the connective tissue across functions during integration, ensuring planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and IT are aligned and moving at pace
- Evaluate and recommend systems consolidation strategies (ERP, PLM, MES, QMS) and drive execution of system migrations where needed
- Identify and escalate integration risks early, driving mitigation plans without waiting to be directed
- Build relationships with acquired company leadership teams to establish trust, reduce friction, and accelerate cultural alignment
- Leverage modern tools — including AI-assisted analytics and automation — to accelerate data mapping, supplier rationalization, and integration tracking
- Deliver post-integration assessments and lessons learned to continuously improve Axon's M&A integration capability
What You Bring
Experience & Expertise:
- 5+ years of hands-on M&A operational integration experience (10+ years strongly preferred), with a track record of integrating mid-size and large companies
- Deep, cross-functional operations background spanning multiple disciplines — planning, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and/or quality
- Direct experience participating in operational due diligence as part of M&A deal teams
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA or MS in Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering) preferred
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP), PLM, MES, and supply chain planning tools

- Experience with or strong openness to AI-powered tools for data analysis, process automation, and integration tracking
- Ability to evaluate systems landscapes across two organizations and develop pragmatic consolidation roadmaps

- Proactive and resourceful; you see around corners and act before being asked
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate across all levels — from the shop floor to the boardroom
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving, high-stakes environments
- Collaborative but willing to hold cross-functional teams accountable to commitments
- Hands-on doer mentality — this is not a strategy-only role; you roll up your sleeves
Values That Align With Us:
- Aim Far: You think beyond the current deal — building repeatable frameworks that scale as Axon grows through acquisition
- Own It: You take full accountability for integration outcomes, not just your piece of it
