The Business Operations Analyst contributes to the financial, operational, and workforce management functions within the IT department as part of the IT FinOps & Operational Excellence team. This position is essential for ensuring precise financial reporting, smooth onboarding of vendors and contractors, effective governance of the workforce, and the achievement of operational excellence throughout IT. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, a keen interest in process enhancement, collaborates well but also works autonomously, and enjoys devising innovative solutions that support Lucid's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Create monthly, quarterly, and annual IT financial reports, including summaries of operating expenses (OpEx) and capital expenditures (CapEx).
• Conduct variance analyses comparing actuals against forecasts and budgets, identify primary factors, and deliver actionable insights to IT leadership.
• Monitor and update IT cost allocations, chargebacks, and financial mappings as necessary.
• Assist project managers with project cost reporting, tracking resource burn rates, and classifying expenses as CapEx or OpEx.
• Keep the IT workforce management plan current and aligned with the budget, ensuring roster accuracy and tracking contract end dates and renewals.
Invoice, Vendor, & Payment Support
• Examine vendor invoices to confirm accuracy, proper coding, contract compliance, and completeness of documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve any discrepancies, guarantee timely payments, and monitor invoice statuses.
• Maintain comprehensive records of vendor expenditures, contract expiration dates, and renewals in accordance with IT sourcing and procurement procedures.
