Job Description
Developing convincing technological solutions for acoustics systems in vehicles requires a profound understanding not only of the systems in question but also of the vehicle as a whole, along with a wealth of experience and a keen musical ear.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify hardware, software, and system requirements in alignment with OEM needs and internal standards.
- Coordinate and evaluate mechanical, electrical, and software design activities across teams and suppliers.
- Guide external amplifier suppliers regarding electrical interfaces, software integration, and compliance with corporate and customer requirements.
- Contribute to sourcing activities by supporting technical evaluations, supplier selection, and requirement validation.
- Own the technical responsibility for the DSP amplifier system from concept to series production phase
- Interface with internal software, system, and validation teams to ensure robust system integration into the IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) network.
- Ensure adherence to time, cost, and quality targets for all work packages.
- Support development and troubleshooting of A2B (Audio Bus), UDX processing, and amplifier diagnostics connections within the vehicle architecture.
- Act as a technical ambassador for automotive audio excellence, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure all requirements regarding Cyber Security and Functional Safety Management are met in alignment with the customer and the amplifier supplier
- Participation in commercial discussions, client visits, industry fairs, and sectoral events.
You will collaborate with a strong international team and see the impact of your work on streets around the globe.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Sound Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in automotive audio systems, infotainment, or amplifier design.
- Strong understanding of mixed-discipline system integration (hardware/software/mechanical/ audio).
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with A2B networks, DSP design, UDX concepts, IVI architecture and vehicle communication
- Confident in supplier management, requirement engineering and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ideally, passion for audio quality and a keen interest in sound.

Salary range (gross): 39 000 € – 52 000 € per year (base salary), depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
Additional compensation/benefits: performance based bonus.
