Senior Supply Chain Specialist (MP&L Europe)

The Austrian site plays a key role within the European production and supply chain network, working closely with other manufacturing locations. The environment is process-driven, with a strong focus on operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to support and coordinate material planning and logistics processes across European sites.
This is a regional expert role within a matrix organization, focusing on process alignment, KPI improvement, and driving consistency across multiple locations. The position requires strong stakeholder management and the ability to operate in an international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material planning and logistics activities across European sites
- Act as a functional lead within the European MP&L network
- Ensure alignment and standardization of planning and logistics processes
- Act as a gatekeeper for MP&L standards and support their continuous development
- Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs (inventory, OTIF, forecast accuracy, logistics costs)
- Support and coordinate the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process
- Drive inventory-related initiatives and ensure structured follow-up
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales, and logistics stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Education & Experience
- University degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or material planning
- Experience in a multi-site or regional environment
- Experience in functional coordination without direct line management
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of material planning and logistics processes
- Hands-on SAP experience (MM / PP / SD / WM/EWM preferred)
- Advanced MS Excel skills (analytical level)
- Understanding of S&OP and inventory management
- Knowledge of Lean principles
