Work Setup: Onsite (QC)

Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS and/or CIC

Educational Attainment: Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field (medical allied courses). Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities:

The coder is responsible for meticulously reviewing inpatient medical records to assign the correct ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate sequencing and proper Present on Admission (POA) indicator assignment.

Requirements:

3 years Inpatient Medical Coding Experience with 1 year Transplant Inpatient Medical Coding Experience
