Counselor – Women’s Trauma IOP (Evening Program)
Location: Jenkintown, PA (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Flexible hours on Friday
Compensation: $53,000 – $55,000 annually (based on experience and credentials)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counselor to join our Women’s Trauma Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This evening program supports adult women navigating trauma-related mental health challenges, providing a structured and supportive environment for healing and growth.
In this role, you will facilitate both group and individual therapy, complete clinical assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician passionate about women’s mental health and experienced in group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate group therapy sessions in a trauma-focused IOP setting using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, CPT)
Provide individual counseling sessions as clinically indicated
Conduct intake assessments and determine appropriate levels of care (approximately 4–6 per week)
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
Participate in daily team meetings to review client progress and coordinate care
Complete insurance authorizations and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (required)
Completion of a clinical internship or practicum (required)
Experience with trauma-informed care and women’s mental health (preferred)
Strong group facilitation skills and ability to engage clients in a structured setting
Trauma-specific training or certification is a plus
