Overview:

As Software Engineer - I, this role requires you to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the team. This may include developing test strategies, designing test documents, identifying bugs, and reviewing testing reports. You will be participating in functional, regression and Database testing of software products.

What you will do:

You will take part in the design phases of new software/product feature development and promotes continuous testing to guarantee an error free final product (20%-time allocation)
You will be identifying potential quality issues and report them to development team. (20%-time allocation)
You will be responsible for identification of test requirements from defined specifications, mapping test case requirements, and designing test coverage plans. (20%-time allocation)
You will be executing both manual and automated test cases (15%-time allocation)
You will be automating test cases using existing Test Automation framework (10%-time allocation)
You will ensure that test scripts/cases are always up to date (10%-time allocation)
You will ensure proper documentation of all executions and prepare detailed failure reports (5%-time allocation)
Other duties may be assigned.

What we are looking for:

2+ years of software industry experience and successful track record in product testing.
BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
You have worked on defect reporting tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, VSTS etc.
You have expertise in creating testcases using Test cases management tools such as VSTS, TestLink etc.
You have experience in testing tools like Selenium.
You have worked on Agile methodology for software testing and development.
You have worked interdependently across multiple projects simultaneously.
You have composed clear and concise testing documentation.
