General Requirements:

• BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering graduate from an accredited University. A related technical master's degree would be an advantage.
• Minimum of 12 years post-graduate experience, of which 10 years spent in seawater desalination project execution, commissioning, or operation and 5 years in a plant/operation/production management role.
• Proven experience in optimization and process improvement.
• Proven hands-on experience working with, reverse osmosis (RO), energy recovery devices (ERD), and other typical seawater desalination equipment and technologies. Experience troubleshooting control systems, PLCs, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of process design for the treatment of seawater desalination, brine management as well as wastewater treatment using extended aeration and sequence batch reactors. Up-to-date engineering knowledge of the design, operation, and troubleshooting of one or more water treatment systems; Media Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Desalination, Water Treatment Chemicals Injection. Seawater desalination plant process/equipment design experience is beneficial.
• Established leadership skills with a deep understanding of consulting & project execution. Effective written and oral communication, Drive for Results, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Directing Others, Conflict Management, Informing, Listening, Dealing with Ambiguity, and Building Effective Teams
• Learn and perform chlorination of the water distribution system and the maintenance of chlorination equipment;
• Possess knowledge of principles, practices, tools equipment, and supplies required to maintain and repair water treatment and distribution infrastructure, wastewater collection mains, and lift stations.
• Willing to work and relocate to Turks & Caicos and stay for at least 2 years. (Accommodation will be provided by the company)

 

Valuable advantages

• Member- or Chartership of an Accredited Professional Institution would be an advantage.

• Familiarity, understanding, or experience in PLC process programming automation and troubleshooting.

• SCADA system experience would be a great advantage.

• A work permit is required and will be handled by the client

• No criminal record (felonies) and a police report will be needed from the candidate's local jurisdiction

• Medical clearance - the client will provide further details on what they need

• Applicants are required to provide the following: Medical clearances in English:

• 1. • The Mantoux must state negative or positive and the amount must be measured in millimeters.
     • ECGs are for persons 40 and over.
     • A Covid vaccination card is required.
     • A vaccination card showing that they have received the following immunizations: 2 - MMR, 2 - DPT, and 1- Polio to be attached to the medical form. The childhood vaccinations they received will not be accepted by the MOH.
