Special Education Specialist (Night Shift)

Lead tutor onboarding and ongoing coaching so K–12 students—including those with IEPs/504s—receive high‑quality, data‑driven instruction.
What You’ll Do
- Onboard tutors: Prepare them for the first session, show them how to navigate curriculum/assessments, review Learning Plans (LPs).
- Coach SPED strategies: Autism, ADHD, ELL, behavior supports; implement IEP/504 accommodations.
- Build resources: SPED Toolkit, sample lessons, planning templates, progress‑monitoring tools; champion UDL, RTI/MTSS, multisensory instruction.
- Run PD & coaching: Monthly drop‑ins/webinars; observe → feedback → reflect; celebrate wins (shoutouts, certificates).
- Enable edtech: Jamboard, Flip, Blooket, Boom Cards, ReadWorks; create one‑pagers and short video how‑tos; manage a Virtual Resource Hub.
- Support systems: FAQ/troubleshooting; streamlined check‑ins with tutors/families/schools.
- Quality assurance: Review lesson plans for standards & IEP alignment; model demo lessons (Gradual Release: I Do → We Do → You Do).
- Data & goals: Use TME assessments for baseline → mastery; set goals with tutors and track progress.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s in Special Education (or related) and 3+ years K–12 SPED (teacher, case manager, interventionist).
- Proven coaching/PD facilitation; clear written and verbal communication.
- Expertise in UDL, RTI/MTSS, SEL, accommodations/modifications, and behavior supports.
- Data‑literate; proficient with Google Workspace/Zoom and listed edtech tools.
Preferred
State SPED certification and/or Master’s; experience with ELL, OASIS, trauma‑informed and culturally responsive practices.
