About us

House Rx is on a mission to make specialty medications more affordable and accessible for patients suffering from chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune disorders. We provide clinics with specialized technology and support from pharmacists and care coordinators to dispense medication directly to their patients, known as medically integrated dispensing (MID). We are expanding our product team to help fuel our next phase of growth — keep reading to learn more about the role, our team, and why House Rx is the right next step in your career!

About the role

Built from the ground up by specialty pharmacists, physicians**,** and technologists, the House Rx platform enables all aspects of medically integrated dispensing — from prior authorization and financial counseling to fulfillment tools, scalable patient outreach, and real-time analytics. Integration with multiple EHR systems allows collaboration between physicians, pharmacists, and on the ground care teams to provide better, more efficient patient care.

We are seeking a Product Manager to contribute to the ongoing development, optimization and growth of this platform. We enable the care of thousands of patients every single day, and are growing exponentially. We’re looking for an individual who is excited to support the rapid scaling and growth of our platform across multiple specialty areas and workflows.

A PM in this role will collaborate most closely with our clinical operations, design, and engineering teams, though they will also work with stakeholders across the company as well as engage directly with our customers and our users. They will be responsible for identifying key problems within the platform that deserve our attention and investment, defining product solutions for these problems, and be accountable for meeting our customer & end user needs, while balancing the ongoing day to day of new operational hurdles & scale as our platform grows.

We believe that our product managers are bastions of culture, engaging with empathy across the entire organization, with a focus on creative problem solving, not being bound by old playbooks, and a relentless focus on constantly iterating and improving themselves, their products, their teams, and the company as a whole. If this sounds like you, read on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify problems that deserve our investment and effectively articulate the problem, the impact on the business, and the level of investment this problem deserves. Collaborate with the rest of the Product, Engineering & Design teams to develop the best roadmap for the business.

  • Facilitate and drive action throughout the entire product development process:  identifying a problem, collaborating with others to develop the simplest solution possible, documenting requirements, and driving clarity and context for the engineering team, culminating in a successful product launch.

  • Dig into the weeds. Whether it is inbound support issues, or a new area of product ownership, we are a team that digs in, making sure we understand everything from what our users are describing as a problem area to what the data is telling us.

  • Empower your team to move fast and iterate quickly. Ensure that the engineering & design teams you work with have the context they need to make quick decisions about the project as they go. Empower the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and healthy debate and discussion.

  • Be willing to go above and beyond. Our team is at the nexus of bringing together ideas and making them a reality, and that involves a relentless focus on quality and a personality that thrives on creating community, delivering value, and improving oneself.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for ongoing innovation & improvement. Our favorite podcasts are: Out of PocketRelentless Health Value and Acquired.  We would love to hear yours!

  • You can listen to our team talk a little bit about how we build product on the Out of Pocket podcast here.

About you

  • Technical depth. You can understand how a feature is built in the codebase with the help of AI. You know enough to push back on scope with a real argument. You don't need to write production code every day, but you know enough to be dangerous.
  • AI-native. You've meaningfully changed how you work through AI. Not just using it to go faster, but rethinking what's possible. This shapes how you build, how you scope, and how you think about your own productivity.
  • Self-driven. You don't wait to be told what to do next. You find the problem, form a view, and move. But you also know when to check in before going deep. You have a strong nose for when to push forward and when to surface something.
  • Voracious learner. You soak up information and learn fast. You ask good questions, read everything, and connect dots quickly. At House Rx, domain context is a real unlock. The faster you build it, the more effective you become. This is someone who leans in, not someone who waits for onboarding to end.
  • SQL fluency. You write your own queries. You debug them when they're slow. Data investigation is your first instinct, not your last resort. You use data insights to drive product decisions.
  • You take pride & ownership in the work your team ships. You sanity check your own work before handing it off. For high-stakes features, you're in staging before you call it done because you care. You're not the last line of defense, but you act like the work reflects on you personally.
  • You're comfortable in the operational weeds. Data cleanup, support triage, getting your hands dirty, you see this as signal, not noise.
  • You've done user research with operators or clinicians - people who are time-pressured, skeptical of software, and won't tell you what's wrong unless you ask the right questions.
  • You have taste. You care about how things look and feel, not just how they work. You have an aesthetic sensibility in design, in writing, in how they present their work.

Nice to have:

  • Healthcare or pharmacy domain knowledge
  • Experience in a regulated product environment (HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar)

This role is not for:

  • PMs who hand off data questions to an analyst and wait for answers
  • PMs who need a fully-defined brief before they can move
  • People who have only worked on consumer products and haven't navigated complex, operator-facing workflows
  • PMs who see QA and operational work as beneath their level
  • Anyone who needs external pressure to generate urgency
