Analyst, Recycling Program Reporting - Remote

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Service Provider Reporting, the Program Reporting Analyst is responsible for reporting on the supply chain side of Circular Materials, supporting our collectors across Canada, and administering the service provider claims submission process ensuring all claims are made in accordance with approved contracts and vendor reporting standards.

This is a salaried position and requires residency in Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is split between 40% of the time engaging internally with Operations team on contract setup, amendments, and supporting vendors with onboarding and reporting issues. The remaining 60% portion is dedicated to setting up and amending contracts and purchase orders, claims auditing, payment proposal analysis and other reporting and administrative tasks. 

  • Support the service provider onboarding process. Provide training and guidance on reporting standards and requirements.

  • Create, update, and manage system contracts using SAP.

  • Responding to inquiries from service providers to facilitate the claims submission process.

  • Monitor claims submitted by service providers through the We Recycle portal.

  • Communicate with service providers to obtain necessary information to support claims.

  • Review and validate the accuracy of service provider submissions, ensuring all claims are supported with the proper documentation and meet the reporting standards.

  • Create purchase orders following claim validation allowing service providers to proceed with invoicing. Report irregularities and service provider performance issues to management.

  • Maintain pricing and related condition tables within the SAP system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Perform daily maintenance of team reports and logs.

  • Support the development of monthly reports and executive dashboards.

  • Work as part of a cross functional team to affect continuous improvement of business processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for service provider inquiries and end to end relationship management, while providing portal support for report submissions to ensure smooth operations

  • Review and understand the Statement of Work (SOW) to facilitate the effective setup of the contracts in the SAP system.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal / external clients.

  • Conduct trend analysis to examine data stability, uncover new insights and process improvement opportunities; communicate the results to internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure consistent and efficient operations

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in JIRA to ensure functionality meets project requirements and department quality standards.

  • Participate in any Ad hoc projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in purchasing, business administration, supply chain or related discipline. Equivalent or relevant experience will be considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Technical expertise and process optimization.
  • PO and contract set-up in supply chain environment.
  • Analyzing huge sets of data to derive actionable insights in Excel.
  • Experience with building relationships with vendors and maintaining vendor records.
  • End-user expertise with SAP and SharePoint is an asset.
  • Experience in waste management, materials management and logistics, or related operational business activities is considered an asset.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Competency

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Excel (x-lookups, pivot tables).
  • Strong Communicator: Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy and reliability.
  • Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach, ability to present clear, concise solutions to business challenges.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements.
  • Self-Starter: Motivated to learn and develop, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Experience dealing with Purchase Orders and an understanding of procure to pay operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a Canadian home office environment.
  • Extra or flexible hours may be required on occasion.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Expected Compensation: 

  • An annual base salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000
  • The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential base salary range for this role.  The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
