This is a high-impact, CTO-track opportunity for a hands-on technology leader to architect, build, and scale a next-generation AI-powered consumer platform. You will take ownership of the end-to-end AI and backend ecosystem, driving system design, performance, and scalability while leading a cross-functional engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture & Platform Ownership

Design and implement scalable, low-latency, and fault-tolerant architectures across AI systems, backend infrastructure, and real-time applications
Build robust integrations across web, mobile, and AI-driven services

AI Systems & Intelligence

Architect and enhance AI agent systems, including multi-agent orchestration and context/memory layers
Improve retrieval pipelines, RAG systems, and prompt engineering frameworks
Develop personalization systems and persistent memory for enhanced user experiences

Human-Centric AI Experience

Enhance conversational intelligence to deliver natural, human-like interactions
Improve multilingual capabilities and structured reasoning for complex topics
Enable high-quality voice and interactive learning experiences

Real-Time Systems Development

Build and optimize live AI-powered voice and video interaction systems
Integrate visual and interactive components such as graphs, sketchpads, and dynamic explanations

Performance, Reliability & Scalability

Address latency, system stability, and output consistency challenges
Ensure high availability, fast response times, and seamless user experience at scale

Backend & API Development

Develop and manage backend systems for user data, analytics, notifications, and AI usage tracking
Build scalable APIs for mobile and web platforms
Implement recommendation systems using vector search and intelligent discovery

Hands-on Engineering

Actively contribute to coding, debugging, and system optimization
Operate across system design and deep technical problem-solving

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor engineers across AI, backend, and DevOps
Drive execution, unblock teams, and maintain high engineering standards

AI Research & Innovation

Continuously evaluate and integrate advancements in LLMs, agent frameworks, and multimodal AI
Push the boundaries of intelligent, scalable AI systems

What We’re Looking For

Core Experience

5–10+ years in backend engineering, distributed systems, or AI/ML platforms
Strong expertise in Python, system design, APIs, and databases

AI & GenAI Expertise

Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, vector databases, and agent frameworks
Strong understanding of prompt engineering, personalization, and memory systems

Technical & Systems Thinking

Proven ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant, real-time systems
Experience building and deploying high-performance production systems

Builder Mindset

Demonstrated experience building products at scale
Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
Strong ownership mindset with focus on quality, performance, and user experience

Nice to Have

Experience in EdTech, conversational AI, or voice/video AI systems
Exposure to real-time streaming architectures or multimodal AI systems
