DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

As a Vendor Manager at NEXTGEN, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and strengthening relationships across our vendor and partner ecosystem. This position requires a proactive, results-driven professional who can manage day-to-day vendor operations while identifying and maximizing new opportunities.

As the Vendor Manager you will:

  • Work with a portfolio of current and expanding vendors and partners to unlock business potential and deliver mutual success.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and act as an advocate for their solutions within our partner community.
  • Collaborate on new and existing opportunities, serving as an escalation point for channel and vendor partners.
  • Oversee Marketing Development Funds (MDF) applications and claims, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
  • Manage vendor pipeline reporting and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Lead vendor business development initiatives, including concept creation, marketing coordination, collateral development, funding procurement, and event management.
  • Partner with the sales support team to ensure timely and professional service delivery to partners.
  • Guide new partners through vendor application, registration, training, and certification processes.
  • Liaise with vendors on opportunity management, conducting regular follow-ups and pipeline reviews.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from partners and vendors, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Maintain vendor certification compliance to uphold NEXTGEN’s distribution status.
  • Collaborate with inside sales to manage opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Achieve quarterly vendor sales quotas and work with management on remediation plans when targets are not met.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Vendor Manager:

  • 3–5 years of experience in the IT industry with strong knowledge of vendor channel programs, lead generation, relationship building, pipeline creation, pricing, and operational metrics.
  • A proven track record of success and the ability to anticipate partner and vendor needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in building relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and a tertiary qualification in Technology, Operations, or Commerce.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player who contributes positively to our culture.
  • Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
