ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group. Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for an Electronic Hardware Design & Release Engineer responsible for the design, validation, and technical release of automotive electronic components, ensuring proper hardware–software integration, obsolescence management, and compliance with industry quality standards and regulations. This role serves as a key liaison between multidisciplinary teams to guarantee product functionality, reliability, and robustness.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Release
- Develop and lead electronic hardware design (schematics, component selection, architecture).
- Manage design release through BOM, ECNs, and ECRs within PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena).
- Define technical alternatives for obsolescence/EOL and track components at risk.
HW–SW Integration
- Collaborate with embedded software teams to ensure compatibility and proper HW/SW integration throughout the product lifecycle.
Validation & Testing
Define and coordinate DV/PV testing, electrical validation, EMC tests, and environmental testing.
Oversee test execution and ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.
Analysis & Problem-Solving
- Perform failure diagnostics, advanced debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Propose design improvements based on data and validation outcomes.
Supplier & Manufacturing Collaboration
- Work with suppliers, labs, and manufacturing plants for NPI, DFM/DFA activities, and resolution of production issues.
- Ensure technical deliverables and alignment with supplier specifications.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure conformity with automotive standards: ISO 26262, ASIL, A‑SPICE, AEC‑Q100/200.
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years in electronic hardware design for embedded or automotive systemsg.
- Proven experience in PCB design and review, schematic development, and component selection.
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, SoCs, memory devices, and digital/analog interfaces.
- Deep experience with communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, USB.
- Proficiency in BOM management, EOL analysis, replacement strategies, and technical risk assessment.
- Experience with PLM tools (Jira, Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena).
- Expert knowledge of industry standards: ISO 26262 (ASIL), A-SPICE, AEC‑Q100/AEC‑Q200.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink for validation and automation.
- Experience in requirements management tools (DOORS, etc.).
- Proficiency in validation tools: LabVIEW, dSPACE, NI VeriStand.
- Advanced English.
