Description
Our client is a bespoke Australian construction company specialising in high-end custom residential homes. They are known for delivering premium builds through a collaborative, detail-focused approach, working closely with clients to create tailored, high-quality residences.
They are now seeking to hire an Estimator who provides offshore support to the estimating team, focusing on process-driven estimating tasks, documentation, and data preparation.
Job/Role Responsibilities
Estimating Support
- Review plans and specifications to assist with quantity take-offs.
- Break projects into trade packages for costing.
- Compare subcontractor and supplier pricing (based on provided data).
- Prepare preliminary budgets using templates.
- Assist in preparing draft tenders and client proposals.
Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain accurate estimate documentation, including scope, inclusions, and exclusions.
- Input and manage data within estimating systems and Excel.
- Ensure all work follows standard processes, templates, and checklists.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow structured processes and checklists.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with clear instructions.
- Exposure to construction drawings, plans, or specifications (advantageous).
- Experience in estimating support, admin, or data processing roles within construction or related industries (preferred).
