Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is Immediately hiring for multiple Electrical Engineer – Test Systems

We’re hiring Electrical Engineer – Test Systems to design and develop electrical test equipment, hardware interfaces, and integrated test solutions supporting advanced aerospace and defense systems. In this role, you’ll work across the full product lifecycle—from circuit design and schematic capture to system integration and validation—using tools like Altium, Mentor Graphics, and industry-standard lab equipment.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-reliability test systems, ensuring performance, quality, and schedule in mission-critical environments. This is an ideal role for engineers who enjoy hands-on design, troubleshooting, and system-level problem solving.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (relocation available)
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; Secret clearance (preference is an active clearance.  Will consider candidates with the ability to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical test systems, test equipment, and interface hardware for engineering and production environments
  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings using tools like Altium, DX Designer, or Mentor Graphics
  • Perform circuit design, analysis, integration, and validation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems
  • Develop and support cabling, test adapters, and system interconnects for hardware testing
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters for testing and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system performance
  • Support project execution including technical scope, schedule, and deliverables

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design, test systems, or hardware development
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium, Mentor, DX Designer, etc.)
  • Strong background in circuit design, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with analog, digital, RF, or mixed-signal design
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems
  • Experience with hardware integration, system interconnects, and test adapters
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, embedded systems, or software-hardware integration
  • Experience leading projects or providing technical leadership
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools and development processes
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis, validation, and system-level troubleshooting

Pay Ranges

$62—$67 USD
