About the Job:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Asset Performance Engineer to join our client's team and ensure the reliable operation and optimization of commercial Solar PV systems. In this role, you will monitor system performance through advanced platforms, lead remote troubleshooting, and provide clear technical guidance to contractors and field teams. Working closely with the Service and Quality Assurance teams, you will analyze performance data, identify root causes of faults, and drive continuous improvement to enhance system efficiency and uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze solar PV system performance using commercial-scale monitoring platforms.
• Provide clear, structured technical support and remote troubleshooting to field technicians.
• Investigate underperformance, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage service cases and coordinate with the Service & QA teams for timely issue resolution.
• Prepare detailed system performance reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support project onboarding by reviewing design, installation quality, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers for design improvements and warranty claims.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Photovoltaic/Renewable Energy Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of solid experience in solar PV monitoring, performance, or operations (commercial experience).
• Proficiency in asset management and monitoring software (beyond inverter-specific apps).
• Strong understanding of PV system design, installation, and Australian Standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for remote technical support.
• Highly organized, analytical, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Can start immediately, if possible.
