Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Sub-sampling of test samples.
  • Operation and maintenance of test equipment.
  • Calibration duties.
  • Receipt and storage of test samples including logging in to the master schedule when required.
  • Housekeeping, including daily laboratory cleaning and maintenance. 0
  • Performing analyses as per instructions of the Laboratory Manager or SPCs in accordance with stipulated test procedures.
  • Preparation of stock standard solutions.

Qualifications

  • Candidates that have completed a Diploma or certificate in chemistry or equivalent will be preferred.
  • Previous experience would be advantageous; however, training will be provided to the suitable candidate.
  • Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel would be preferred
