The Role

Veeva Link Key People is the "source of truth" for Life Science leaders to find and engage with global scientific experts. By joining Veeva, you aren't just managing data; you are accelerating the development of life-saving drugs and improving patient outcomes worldwide.

As the Senior Manager of Data Operations, you will own the data curation engine for our Link Key People Healthcare Professional product. This is a high-leverage leadership role: you will lead 8 Leads who oversee a global workforce of 500 to 800+ curators. You are the bridge between human expertise and technical innovation, serving as the Data Operations voice within a cross-functional "squad" of Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.

Your focus will be to constantly push the bar in established processes and ensure excellent KPIs in terms of quality and efficiency. Drive automation leveraging AI without sacrificing quality. Be a sparring partner to product management through your understanding of the data and curation processes. Lead a high-performing team that is hard-working, fast-learning, and team-first.

What You’ll Do

  • Optimize: Dive deep into daily curation workflows to identify bottlenecks and design streamlined processes.
  • Operationalize AI: Drive automation by identifying practical AI use cases and executing them reliably. You will actively engage in automation projects alongside our Data Science teams.
  • Performance Management: Own the numbers. Track, analyze, and report on daily/weekly KPIs (Quality and Efficiency), and identify the specific levers needed to improve results.
  • Direct Leadership: Actively coach and mentor your 8 Leads through hands-on problem-solving and global alignment.
  • Quality Control: Challenge our quality frameworks by performing data deep-dives yourself to understand curator challenges and ensure we are delivering maximum value to customers.
  • Execution: Lead the rollout of new product features and technology transitions, ensuring a workforce of 800+ curators is trained and ready to execute without a drop in quality.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership: 3–5+ years of experience in people management
  • Analytical Mindset: You don’t just see data; you see patterns, bottlenecks, and the "levers" required for optimization.
  • Process Builder: A proven track record of deconstructing manual, complex processes and rebuilding them into streamlined workflows.
  • Hands-on: Ability to dive into the "weeds" of the data to understand the curator’s reality and ensure quality at the source.
  • Communication: Fluent and to the point in English.

Nice to Have

  • University degree in an analytical or scientific field.
  • Experience in large tech, startups, or top-tier management consulting.
  • Prior experience in a "Data-as-a-Product" environment.

Perks & Benefits

  • Life insurance
  • 1% charitable giving program
  • Fitness reimbursement
