Job Role: Project Finance Modeler
Compensation range: $4,500 - $5,500 AUD Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9:00AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is:
Our client is a corporate finance and investment banking advisory firm with approximately 60 professionals across Australia and the Middle East. The firm provides strategic financial advisory services to clients across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, with a strong focus on infrastructure, government-led projects, and private sector financings.
Role Overview:
The Project Finance Modeler will join an experienced Australian team and play a key role in developing and maintaining advanced financial models used for infrastructure and project finance transactions. The role requires strong technical expertise in building bankable models, particularly within Public-Private Partnership (PPP) structures and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, build, and maintain complex financial models for infrastructure and project finance transactions
Support advisory engagements across corporate finance, investment banking, and structured finance deals
Work closely with Australian-based stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial analysis and modelling outputs
Ensure financial models are “bankable” and suitable for financing, refinancing, and investment decision-making
Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and valuation assessments for infrastructure projects
Support deal execution across PPPs, infrastructure assets, and large-scale financing arrangements
Translate project documentation into structured financial models and outputs for stakeholders and clients
Minimum 5+ years of experience in investment banking, Big 4 advisory (Deals / Valuations / Modeling), or infrastructure/project finance roles
Strong background in project finance advisory and corporate finance modelling
Proven experience building bankable financial models used in real transactions
Solid exposure to infrastructure projects and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)
Advanced Excel modelling skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of project finance structures, debt sizing, and cash flow modelling
Experience working with international stakeholders, ideally supporting Australia or APAC markets
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, client-facing environment
