Lead Youth Care Worker (Overnight)
Lead Staff (shift leads) are members of a care-team responsible for leading and maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents that is conducive to their well-being. Lead Staff assess group dynamics and resident needs and promote improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning of group home residents. The ability to understand the perspective of others is critical and staff must truly care about the success of youth. This is a third shift position requiring overnight hours, typically between midnight and 8:00am.
You will work alongside residents to support achievement of treatment goals through engagement in healthy and productive daily activities through the follow tasks:
- Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.
- Maintain a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our adolescent clients
- Supervise youth and knowing their whereabouts at all times
- Facilitate crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clients
- Incorporate client treatment objectives into the individual care of residents
- Transport and supervise clients at designated activities and appointments
- Follow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements
- Accurately complete and review shift documentation
- Train new hires following the defined training program
- Additional duties as assigned

Your schedule will include:
- Eight-hour shifts scheduled five days a week, Monday through Friday.
- Shifts are typically during overnight hours between midnight and 8 a.m.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:
Bachelor’s degree in a human/social services related field preferred but not required
Previous experience working with a youth population in a residential setting is preferred but not required
At least 21 years of age
Hold a valid driver’s license
Must be caring and resilient
