Job title: Business Development Manager
Location: Homebased, South of China
We have exciting opportunities for more than one Business Development Manager to join our Regulatory Services - Medical Devices team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling BSI’s full portfolio of products and services within the Medical Device Certification industry.
You will work closely with the Regulatory Services Commercial Operations Director and other integral members of the commercial team to engage new and existing customers and enable growth in the China region and Hong Kong.
As a key member of our commercial team, you will identify and develop new sales opportunities by gaining a deep understanding of clients’ business needs and aligning them with BSI’s solutions. We are seeking a sales professional with a strong background in business development and excellent relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities:
- Articulate and position the full range of BSI products, services and solutions to key decision makers in the department.
- Identify and qualify customers by establishing a relationship to ensure an active and ongoing new and expanded commercial pipeline that exceeds strategic, annual and quarterly targeted sales projections.
- Develop a territorial plan that is consistent with the short- and long-range sales objectives of the business.
- Staying well informed of changes in the industry, participate where possible in directly involved organizations in our core markets, and continuously work to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous sales experience, ideally gained in a Notified Body or medical device industry.
- Bachelor’s degree minimum or equivalent.
- Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
- A good understanding of the IVD sector across the China market.
- Previous experience with using sales tools (such as Salesforce) for sales logging, account management, and forecasting.
- The ability to demonstrate your experience in field selling, business development, account management or similar sales careers.
