We are looking for a strategic, experienced, and results-driven leader to head our Consulting and Development Services (CDS) Business Unit. This role is responsible for driving business growth, strengthening market presence, shaping the service portfolio, and ensuring excellence in delivery across local and international projects.
Responsibilities
Market
- Define and execute the strategic direction of the CDS Business Unit based on a deep understanding of the local IT services market
- Maintain an up-to-date view on:
- Labor market costs and hiring trends
- Emerging technologies and innovation directions
- Delivery models (onshore, nearshore, offshore, hybrid) and their nuances
- Monitor competitor landscape and identify new business opportunities in local and international markets
- Translate market insights into actionable growth and portfolio strategies
Customers
- Develop and implement sales and growth strategies aligned with QS Group positioning within CDS BU, adapting differentiators to local market specifics
- Drive continuous improvement of QSHU CDS visibility and market presence
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and lead generation activities
- Actively drive new business acquisition (hunting) at C-level
- Establish and maintain strategic account management at C-level, ensuring long-term partnerships
- Leverage existing network and partnerships to generate new opportunities
- Lead presales activities and complex sales cycles
- Manage executive stakeholder relationships, negotiations, and contract processes
- Represent CDS at industry events and professional forums
- Ensure high client satisfaction through tailored, high-quality solutions
People
- Execute QS Group people strategy within CDS BU, adapting it to local specifics, including:
- Employee value proposition and differentiators
- Benefits and engagement initiatives
- Upskilling directions and tools (e.g., Cloud, DevOps, Architecture, etc.)
- Internal culture and community initiatives (e.g., 4fun activities)
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and motivating team culture
- Oversee CDS operations and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Work closely with Resource Management to align capacity with business needs
Talent Attraction & Employer Branding
- Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of the local tech talent market (salaries, benefits, trends)
- Adjust employer positioning and differentiators to local market expectations
- Define and implement strategies to continuously strengthen QSHU CDS employer branding
- Drive initiatives that improve visibility and attractiveness toward top tech talent
- Collaborate closely with Recruitment to ensure hiring success aligned with business growth
Internal Collaboration
- Build and nurture strong relationships with HR, Finance, Marketing, other Business Units, and international teams
- Ensure alignment on strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and shared focus areas
- Support business planning, budgeting, and financial performance tracking (revenue, profitability, KPIs)
- Report performance and insights to senior management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field
8–10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership roles
Proven experience in IT services companies focused on Software Engineering
Strong understanding of:
IT consulting and digital transformation
Software delivery domains (Business Analysis, Project Management, Architecture, Development, DevOps, Cloud, Testing)
Strong market awareness and business acumen
Proven experience working with C-level stakeholders, ideally across industries such as Banking, Retail, Telecom, and Technology
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Inspiring leadership style with the ability to motivate and engage teams
Experience with CRM systems and business planning/reporting tools
Fluency in English and Hungarian; German is an advantage
