We’re now recruiting a Civils Skilled Operative to join our North and Central Wales teams. This is a great opportunity to build a long‑term career with Sapphire Utility Solutions and Lanes Group
About the role:
Location: Kimnel Bay
Hours: 47.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, flexibility is required
Enhanced Overtime Rates
Salary: up to £13.25 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction.
- Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
- Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
What we are looking for:
Whilst we are looking for the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out the responsibilities of the role it’s just as important to have employees with a positive and caring attitude or those who are looking for develop further and grow with the group.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Full UK driving license (Required), with no more than 6 penalty points
- Previous experience in deep drainage and pipe repairs is required
- Training will be NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3
