Manager, Pre-Sales Consultants

Pre-Sales Consultants (PSCs) act as trusted partners to our Account Executives, working closely with prospective clients to demonstrate the value of our platform and help win new business. They combine deep product knowledge, commercial acumen, industry experience and strong client intuition to run high-impact evaluations. PSCs are problem-solvers, storytellers, and product experts who thrive on helping customers make better and faster decisions. This role would manage the US Financial Services pre-sales team which is a critical driver of growth.

As the Pre-Sales Manager for the US Financial Services team, you will lead a team of approximately 12 Pre-Sales Consultants. Your focus will be guiding the team to:

  • Partner with Account Executives to run seamless product evaluations and drive new business across key verticals
  • Lead product demos, discovery calls, and tailored workshops to uncover and position value
  • Translate client challenges into compelling use cases that showcase the power of AlphaSense
  • Collaborate with Support, Sales, Product, and Content teams to close feedback loops and influence roadmap priorities
  • Maintain a consultative, user-first mindset throughout every evaluation, building trust and credibility with prospective clients and cross-functional stakeholders

Who You Are: We are seeking a team-oriented, data-driven leader eager to lead the continued growth of this critical function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage a team of 12+ Pre-Sales Consultants responsible for supporting Account Executives in closing trials. This includes coaching and mentoring on development and best practices, establishing team accountability, and adapting your managerial style to effectively support and challenge each direct report
  • Strategy & Growth: Evaluate and implement resource coverage models to support scalability, and proactively recruit top talent, upholding a high bar of excellence.
  • Performance & Reporting: Provide transparency and strategic insight into team performance to management by consistently tracking and reporting key day-to-day metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build impactful relationships with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Account Management, Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, etc.) to drive successful business growth outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of work experience in sales or client success, including a minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience, where you were responsible for a team of at least 7 client-facing professionals.
  • Adaptability: High aptitude and willingness to learn complex technical knowledge on the job, necessary to support our diverse client base.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Superior ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and rapport with people, coupled with a proactive demeanor.
  • Execution: Proven effectiveness in time management, task prioritization, and maintaining attention to detail, even under pressure.
  • Work Style: Interest and ability to work autonomously within a small, fast-growing company.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Base Compensation Range

$135,000—$150,000 USD
