Product Documentation Engineer

Added 13 hours ago

Detection alone is not security. Every day, security teams are forced to make critical decisions on incomplete data. Binalyze changes that. Our platform, AIR, gives investigators the full picture — turning alerts into understanding in minutes, not days. We're scaling globally and beyond, building the category-defining investigation platform the industry has been missing.

Our product is used by enterprise SOCs, managed security providers, and incident response teams worldwide. The people using it are experts who need to understand exactly how it works. That means documentation is a critical part of how we deliver value, and we need someone who can own it end to end. This is our first ever Product Documentation Engineer hire so we want someone to come in and take ownership for how Binalyze shares knowledge with customers, partners, and internal teams, and the decisions you make here will have a significant impact.

You'll engineer and maintain the documentation infrastructure, build automation tooling, integrate AI into content workflows, and embed documentation into the engineering lifecycle so it moves at the pace of the product. Day to day that means working across engineering, product, support, and customer success to understand how things work and turn that into clear, structured content that actually helps people.

You'll also be our internal expert on documentation engineering practice, staying ahead of how the field is evolving and bringing that back into how we work.

You'll thrive here if you

  • Are an engineer first who happens to care deeply about documentation

  • Can read a codebase, parse an API, and understand a system architecture well enough to document it accurately without support

  • Think about documentation as infrastructure — pipelines, automation, deployment

  • Are naturally curious about complex technical systems and enjoy making them understandable

  • Think at the level of the whole knowledge system, not just the document in front of you

  • Are comfortable with pace — priorities shift, products change, and you reorganise rather than wait

  • Are excited about using AI and automation as genuine tools for building something better

  • Want to own something and shape how it grows

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a Documentation Engineer, Developer Advocate, or Software Engineer with a strong documentation focus

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go)

  • Experience in Docs-as-Code environments — Git-based workflows, Markdown/MDX, static site generators like Astro or Hugo

  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for documentation deployment and validation

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and developer-facing documentation

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and how to apply them to content workflows

  • A strong communicator and collaborator, professional level English skills are essential

Nice to have

  • Experience in a SaaS or cybersecurity company

  • Experience building automation workflows using no-code/low-code platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar)

  • A track record of integrating documentation into agile engineering sprints

What we offer

  • Generous annual leave plus wellbeing days and your birthday off

  • Private medical insurance, including family cover

  • Home office setup support

  • Monthly wellbeing and entertainment allowances

  • Wellbeing support through Oli

  • Fully remote and flexible working

Benefits are tailored by location — we'll share full details during the hiring process.
