Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering, Water Resources in Novi, MI.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and design water resources projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, stormwater modeling, flood control, dam safety, dam removal, stream restoration, and transportation-related drainage design
- Provide engineering review of stormwater and erosion control plans
- Develop scopes of work and budgets/proposals for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects
- Prepare permit applications and pursue approval
- Develop and formulate cost effective, technical solutions to client problems on assigned projects
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, correspondence, and reports
- Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards
- Mentor, train, and grow the engineering team
- Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week
- Supervises two (2) Civil Engineers
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Hydrosystems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Water Resources Engineer, Drainage Engineer, or related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Hydrosystems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study with 3 years of experience.
The position requires experience in the following:
- HEC RAS;
- HEC HMS;
- XPSWMM;
- PCSWMM;
- FLOWMASTER;
- HYDROCAD;
- MS Excel, including data entry and organization, arithmetic operations, charts, and budgeting and forecasting;
- Civil3D;
- StormCAD; and
- Microstation
