THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Principal Full Stack Developer to lead the development of scalable web applications, balancing frontend and backend architecture. This role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, system architecture, and cross-team influence to deliver high-performance, maintainable solutions at scale. The ideal candidate is a seasoned software engineer who sets technical direction, elevates engineering standards, and drives impactful results across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect and develop scalable, high-performance web applications across the full stack.
Define and drive technical vision, standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
Lead the design of reusable UI component libraries and systems with attention to quality and developer experience.
Oversee backend architecture and API design, ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability.
Lead and mentor engineers at all levels, fostering technical growth and a culture of engineering excellence.
Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives.
Identify systemic technical debt and champion initiatives that improve platform health and team velocity.
Make build vs. buy decisions and evaluate technology choices for long-term sustainability.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Deep expertise in software engineering principles, system design, and architectural patterns.
Proficient in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).
Skilled in Node.js and designing high-performance, scalable APIs.
Experience with responsive, mobile-first web application development.
Strong understanding of monorepo tooling, OOP principles, and distributed system architecture.
Proven track record of designing solutions for complex systems, such as ad delivery networks, authentication, or real-time applications.
Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ownership mindset with a bias for action and a drive to solve hard problems.
Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams or an entire organization.
BONUS POINTS:
Experience with Angular and NestJS.
Familiarity with NX monorepos.
