About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting tasks, including month-end financial close and year-end activities, reconciliations, financial reporting & analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your efforts will contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including accruals and general ledger entries.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, analysis, and management reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, and ensure accurate cash flow monitoring.
• Conduct full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audit and ensure proper & complete documentation.
• Continuously improve accounting procedures and processes to enhance efficiency.
Monitor project budgets, costs, and billing in coordination with the project management team.
Ensure revenue and expenses are properly allocated to corresponding projects and calculate revenue accrual/deferral based on percentage of completion.
Assist with software deferred revenue & cogs calculation, tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MS Dynamics, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with ERP systems or financial management tools.
• Experience in the audit firm, software technology or cybersecurity industry will be an asset.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards and tax compliance.
