For one of our clients, we're looking for a freelance IT Systems Engineer who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and evolving the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes server environments, end‑user workstations, and network‑related activities.
The role requires a proactive professional with strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a continuous learning mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
Administer and optimize VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere, ESXi).
Implement, monitor, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication.
Configure and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Management solutions (SCCM, Intune).
Ensure compliance with IT security best practices across all systems.
Provide advanced support for Microsoft Intune, including device management and endpoint security.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing 2nd and 3rd level support.
Contribute to infrastructure projects and participate in technical and architectural decisions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in IT systems or infrastructure engineering.
Strong expertise with Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, Veeam backup solutions & Microsoft System Center
Solid knowledge of Endpoint security and compliance as well as Microsoft Intune and modern device management
Good understanding of networking fundamentals and storage technologies.
Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation is an asset.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and/or certifications (ITIL, MCSA, VMware VCP) is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in French and Dutch, with B2‑level proficiency in English.
