Job Role:** Marketing and Operations Lead
Compensation range: $3,000 AUD - $4,000 AUD / Monthly + KPI bonuses
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: An Australian marketing agency built exclusively for the construction, excavation, and trade services industry. We don’t do one-off projects — we build complete marketing systems for our clients. That means content strategy, lead generation, email nurturing, paid advertising, and a fully configured CRM (GoHighLevel) all working together under one monthly retainer.
We’re a small team that moves fast, holds ourselves to a high standard, and has invested heavily in building systems that actually work. Our clients are trades and construction business owners across Australia who trust us to run their marketing so they can focus on the tools.
How We Work — AI and Automation at the Core
This is an important context for anyone considering this role. The company has already taken significant steps to automate large parts of its operation using AI and custom-built systems. This isn’t something we’re planning to do, it’s already done and running.
For example, our social media content workflow is almost entirely automated. AI generates full content scripts for every client every fortnight, complete with hooks, captions, and hashtags — delivered directly into ClickUp as individual content cards ready for review. There is no strategy planning, no content ideation, and no manual task creation involved in this process. The Operations Lead’s role in this workflow is quality control: reviewing the AI output, ensuring it meets the standard, and managing it through to client approval and scheduling.
The same principle applies across the business. Onboarding workflows, brief templates, email sequences, and pipeline structures are all systematized and documented. Many of the manual, repetitive parts of agency life have already been removed.
We also have a senior AI specialist on the team whose entire role is to continuously find new ways to automate and optimise how the agency operates. As the Operations Lead, you’ll work directly with this person to identify opportunities to make your workflows faster and your workload smarter — not bigger.
What this means in practice: this role is less about doing everything from scratch and more about maintaining quality, running systems that already exist, and keeping every client’s work moving forward on time. The heavy lifting has been engineered out. What remains is the judgement, communication, and coordination that a machine can’t replace.
Role Overview: This is not a virtual assistant position. This is the founder’s right-hand person inside the agency — the Operations Lead who runs day-to-day delivery so the founder can focus entirely on strategy, client relationships, and bringing new clients in.
Right now, the founder is across everything: briefing the designer, chasing approvals, managing pipelines, coordinating the GHL team, scheduling content, reviewing ads. That’s not sustainable, and it’s not where his time creates the most value. Your job is to take ownership of execution, maintaining workflows, upholding quality control, and keeping the machine running so the founder can step fully into a client-facing and growth role.
You’ll be the central coordinator between every moving part of the agency: the graphic designer, the GoHighLevel build team, the AI specialist, and our clients. You’ll run the workflows, chase the deadlines, maintain the quality, and keep every client’s work moving forward on time.
Key Responsibilities:
ClickUp Pipeline Management
- Weekly pipeline review every Monday across all active clients
- Identify overdue, stuck, or blocked tasks and chase the responsible team member or client
- Post a weekly status update for the founder — five bullet points max, no meetings required
Social Media Content Delivery
- Review AI-generated content scripts for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment before they reach the client
- Manage the approval flow: notify clients, chase late approvals, brief the graphic designer via ClickUp
- Conduct visual quality checks on completed assets and schedule approved content in GoHighLevel
Email Marketing
- Manage the monthly newsletter workflow end to end for all newsletter clients
- Coordinate nurturing sequence builds with the GHL team using documented SOPs
- Send monthly email performance summaries to the founder
Lead Generation
- Coordinate landing page builds between the founder, GHL team, and ads workflow
- Send preview links to clients for approval and run the pre-launch QA checklist
- Monitor lead flow weekly and flag issues immediately
Meta Advertising Coordination
- Coordinate ad asset creation between the graphic designer and the ads workflow
- Manage client approval for ad copy and creative assets via ClickUp
- Ensure monthly performance reports are compiled and delivered to clients
Client Communication
- Handle day-to-day client messages and ClickUp interactions on behalf of the agency
- Escalate to the founder only when a strategic decision is required
- Maintain a professional, responsive, and warm communication style
New Client Onboarding
- Set up new client workspaces in ClickUp from the existing template library
- Request missing brand assets and information from new clients
- Brief the GHL team on new client setup requirements
- Establish the client’s review schedule and calendar bookings

The Team You’ll Work With**
- Graphic Designer/Content Creator - Creates all visual content across every client. You’ll brief them weekly and review their output before it goes to clients.
- GoHighLevel Specialist Team - Builds and maintains all CRM, automation, landing page, and email systems inside GoHighLevel. You’ll coordinate their work and ensure builds match the documented briefs.
- AI Specialist - A senior team member focused on continuously automating and optimising the agency’s operations. You’ll work alongside them to streamline your workflows and reduce manual effort over time.
- Founder - Owns strategy, client relationships, onboarding, and business development. You report directly to Ty and operate as his right hand in the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years working inside a digital marketing agency or similar fast-paced delivery environment
- Strong experience with ClickUp or a comparable project management platform (Asana, Monday, etc.)
- Working familiarity with GoHighLevel - you don’t need to be a builder, but you need to understand how pipelines, automations, sub-accounts, and the content scheduler fit together so you can coordinate effectively with the GHL team
- Proficient with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for content review, brief preparation, and research
- Excellent written English - all internal communication, client-facing messages, and quality reviews require a high standard of written communication
- Experience coordinating a small remote team across different roles and time zones
- Solid understanding of social media content strategy, particularly for service-based businesses
- Confident enough to challenge ideas constructively, we want someone who brings perspective, not just compliance
**
Work Arrangement & Expectations:**
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
The Kind of Person Who Would Thrive as the Operations Lead
Skills get you in the door. How you operate keeps you here.
- Confident without the ego - You back yourself, speak up when something’s off, and own your decisions. But you’re not attached to being right, you’d rather get the best outcome than win the argument.
- High-energy and proactive - You bring momentum to the team. You don’t wait to be told what’s next, you’ve already started it. When you see a gap, you flag it or fix it.
- Relentlessly organized - Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch. You run systems, you chase deadlines, and you hold people accountable without being asked.
- Solutions-first - When something breaks, you come with options, not just the problem. You figure things out before escalating.
- Genuinely invested - You care about the work, the clients, and the team. This isn’t just a job to clock in and out of, you want to build something and grow with it.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - We’re a growing agency. Not everything is perfectly mapped out yet. You thrive when you get to shape how things work, not just follow instructions.
**
How We’ll Set You Up for Success**
We don’t throw people in the deep end. The founder will be hands-on with you during your first month, walking you through every client, every workflow, and every system. We have documented SOPs and templates for all core processes, your job isn’t to figure it all out from scratch. It’s to learn the system, then own it.
You’ll also work directly with our AI specialist, who is actively building tools and automations to make your day-to-day work faster and more streamlined. We invest in making this role manageable and scalable, not just dumping tasks on a new hire.
**
Compensation:**
- AUD $3,000 – $4,000 per month (based on experience and capability)
- KPI bonuses tied to client performance metrics (e.g. consecutively growing) engagement, lead volume, or campaign results across your managed accounts
- Paid monthly via bank transfer or Wise
- Full-time position - minimum 4–6 hours overlap with AEST business hours required daily
- Performance-based growth path - as the agency scales, so does this role and its compensation
**
How to Apply**
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Shortlisted candidates will be given a practical task that reflects actual day-to-day work, not a generic test. We want to see how you think, how you communicate, and how you solve problems.
We’re not looking for someone who ticks every box on paper. We’re looking for someone who reads this and thinks: “This is exactly the kind of agency I want to help build.”
