We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer (SDE-3) with 4–8 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems using Python. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing backend architectures, driving technical decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data to deliver impactful solutions that solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python. Architect scalable systems with a strong focus on performance, security, and maintainability. Lead end-to-end development efforts, from requirement gathering and system design to deployment and monitoring. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

You will also be responsible for optimizing existing systems, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing solutions to improve system reliability. As a senior engineer, you will mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to building a strong engineering culture. Additionally, you will collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
4–8 years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in Python. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is highly desirable. Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is a plus.

Experience with asynchronous programming, performance optimization, and writing unit/integration tests is expected. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and modern development workflows is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in agile development environments. Exposure to event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching systems (Redis). Knowledge of system design principles and ability to design large-scale systems. Prior experience in mentoring or leading small teams is a strong advantage.

What We’re Looking For:
A problem-solver with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Someone who takes ownership of tasks and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should be passionate about writing high-quality code, continuously learning new technologies, and improving engineering practices.
