Monitoring Specialist (LogicMonitor)

We are looking for a Monitoring Specialist to play a key role in ensuring comprehensive infrastructure and application monitoring across our environment. This position focuses on the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of LogicMonitor and Dynatrace platforms.

You will help build and maintain a reliable monitoring ecosystem that supports incident management, performance optimization, and business continuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard devices, services, and applications into LogicMonitor and Dynatrace;
  • Configure and manage monitoring components (collectors, groups, templates);
  • Tune alert thresholds and dependencies to reduce noise and false positives;
  • Maintain escalation chains, routing rules, and on-call schedules;
  • Build and maintain dashboards for services, capacity, and SLA reporting;
  • Validate data collection after system or topology changes and proactively resolve gaps;
  • Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM systems for automated incident management;
  • Develop scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for custom checks, enrichment, and auto-remediation;
  • Manage collector upgrades and plugin health;
  • Produce regular reports (availability, MTTR, noisy devices);
  • Ensure monitoring coverage for new services, projects, and locations;
  • Map service dependencies to improve alerting accuracy and incident triage;
  • Review and optimize monitoring rules and remove obsolete checks;
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and response playbooks;
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) validation with synthetic monitoring;
  • Track license usage and optimize platform footprint.

Requirements:

  • Experience in enterprise-scale monitoring environments;
  • Knowledge of automation, AIOps, or GenAI solutions;
  • Experience with capacity planning and SLA reporting;
  • Familiarity with dependency mapping and service modeling;
  • Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks.
