IVVI Tooling Field Engineer
Job Description Summary
The Services Inspections Tooling Specialist - IVVI provides technical direction and oversight of In Vessel Visual Inspection (IVVI) activities during Nuclear Power Plant Inspection Projects. The primary function of the Inspections Field Specialist will be to prepare complex robotic tooling for deployment to nuclear inspection outages. This role is also responsible to support development of processes, techniques and tooling to meet business and customer goals. This position will deliver inspection tooling to customer sites while fulfilling an IVVI Technician role.

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the planning of GVH project schedules and delivery and provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GVH and contingent worker personnel.
Establish appropriate relationships and interact effectively with customers and supplier management on commercial, technical & compliance issues and work within an integrated services team.
Support business activities including inspection tooling and technique development, Commercial Operations and Planning & Staffing and Training.
Perform duties and complete assignments while maintaining GVH standards for integrity, safety and quality.
Other Relevant duties as assigned
Support Product Line as required by the Product Line Lead
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3 years experience in the Nuclear Industry OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear inspection activities
- Minimum of 3 years of nuclear services related experience
Eligibility Requirements
- The required work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters Wilmington, NC
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
- Ability to gain and maintain Fitness For Duty requirements and site security requirements for unescorted access to domestic and international work locations.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience operating and repairing GVH IVVI tooling
- Familiar with GVH Inventory processes.
- Certified RST level II or above
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Experience and knowledge around BWR reactor internals and GVH automated inspection equipment
- Demonstrated leadership of field teams working at customer sites
- Knowledge of GVH Nuclear / GE Vernova Energy products, processes, customers, markets and competition
- Strong Communication Skills and Customer Centric Attitude
- Strong Leadership / Presentation / PC skills
- Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Ability to work under high stress conditions

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $78,800.00 and $131,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
