Company
Abalone Bio combines engineered biology and machine learning to create target-activating antibodies for difficult disease targets. Its platform tests hundreds of millions of antibodies for functional activity, not just binding, using a synthetic biology-based cell enrichment system and an NGS-powered computational selection. This approach yields large-scale activity datasets that power ML models to design activating antibodies for GPCRs and other membrane proteins. The company pursues internal programs and partnerships with pharmaceutical companies to bring activating antibody therapeutics to patients, aiming to expand the range of treatable conditions with fewer off-target effects.
