Head of Talent Acquisition
We are seeking a hands-on recruiting leader to help scale Backblaze’s talent function across the US and globally. This role will lead an existing team of three recruiters while also serving as a strategic partner to the CHRO and senior leadership team on talent strategy, workforce planning, and market insights. It is a leadership role, but also a very operational one, with responsibility for building strong recruiter performance, improving hiring quality, and creating a more scalable recruiting infrastructure through AI, automation, and data-driven processes. This person will drive Director+ and executive hiring, manage agency partnerships with clear expectations and cost discipline, and help shape how Backblaze attracts technical talent across Engineering, Cloud, and AI/ML. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in SaaS recruiting, global hiring across the US, LATAM, and APAC, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while still being willing to stay hands-on in a fast-moving environment
