Small and medium businesses (SMBs) make up over 90% of companies in Latin America, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock SMBs’ potential by providing financial solutions that are tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of Latin America, where SMBs' financial needs are satisfied without ever having to go to a bank.

R2 enables platforms in Latin America to embed financial services that SMBs can then leverage (starting with revenue-based financing). We are a tight-knit team coming from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, and J.P. Morgan. We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling our operations across multiple markets.

We are seeking a New Business MBA Fellow to play a critical role in evaluating and leading R2’s potential expansion into Europe. This is a highly strategic and hands-on 0-to-1 opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems from first principles, and can execute quickly.

You will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and work closely with founders and senior leadership on one of the most important strategic decisions in the company’s trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Entry Strategy

  • Build R2’s European market entry thesis, including:

    • Market sizing by country
    • Prioritization of target markets
    • Identification of potential platform partners
    • Competitive landscape analysis
    • Regulatory and macroeconomic assessment
  • Develop unit economics models and investment scenarios

  • Build the financial case to support expansion decisions

  • Assess profitability, risks, and scalability across markets

  • Prepare a board-ready Go-to-Market recommendation covering:

  • Represent R2 with prospective partners, advisors, and stakeholders

  • Identify, negotiate, and help launch R2’s first European partnerships

  • Support end-to-end launch execution from entity setup through first loan disbursed

What We’re Looking For:

  • MBA candidate or recent MBA graduate from a top-tier program

  • Strong experience in consulting, strategy, private equity, venture capital, fintech, banking, or high-growth startups

  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Strong communication and executive presentation capabilities

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, unstructured environments

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership mentality

  • International perspective and ability to navigate cross-border markets

  • Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or embedded finance

  • Exposure to European markets

  • Experience launching new business lines or entering new markets

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
