Western Digital\u00a0\u00a0The next big thing in data is you!\u000aAs Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a media manufacturing production line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.\u000a\u000aESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\u000a* Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule.\u00a0Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.\u000a* Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.\u000a* Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance.\u00a0Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.\u000a* Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database\u000a* Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.\u000a* Provide Technical training and certification for junior technician.\u000a* Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.\u000a\u000aQualifications\u2009\u2009\u2009\u2009\u2009REQUIRED:\u000a* Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent\u000a* Working experience in manufacturing environment (especially in vacuum chamber system) is required.\u000a* Working experiences in Sputtering or machine maintenance related field would be an added advantage.\u000a* Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control) would be an added advantage.\u000a* Knowledge in using measurement tools such as multi meters, oscilloscope, etc.\u000a* Knowledge in study schematic diagram (circuit diagram) working on system troubleshooting.\u000a* Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair.\u000a* Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook) & Forum Notes\u000a* Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Production, Process, Yield, and Quality.\u000a*\u2009\u2009\u2009\u2009\u2009SKILLS:\u000a* Junior/Senior Level Equip Maintenance Technician\u000a* Technical -\u00a0Familiarity with sputtering equipment or other vacuum systems.\u000a* Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.\u000a* Communication -\u00a0Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.\u000a* Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.\u000a* Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.\u000a* Adaptability -\u00a0Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
