This position entails full ownership of the entire financial reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy across all payment transactions within the company. You will collaborate closely with the operations team, the Founder, and the Finance Consultant to verify that every order, payment, settlement, and ledger entry aligns correctly across Shopify, payment gateways, and bank statements. This is a hands-on role, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to performing reconciliations, detecting discrepancies, and independently resolving any issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reconciliation (Primary Focus)

Take full responsibility for reconciling Shopify orders, payment gateways, and bank settlements from start to finish
Ensure all orders, payments, settlements, and ledger entries are accurately matched
Identify and address mismatches, delays, short settlements, and failed transactions
Maintain detailed reconciliation reports and track unresolved issues
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promptly close any gaps

2. Accounting & Entries

Enter purchase, sales, and bank transactions into Tally Prime
Guarantee that all transactions are accurately recorded and current

3. Payments & Compliance

Manage business-related payments and salary disbursements
Oversee TDS deductions and ensure compliance for all invoices and salary payments

4. Inventory Tracking

Maintain accurate records of stock movements including sales, gifts, and carried-forward inventory
Work closely with the operations team to ensure alignment between inventory and financial records

5. Travel & Expenses

Coordinate travel arrangements and monitor expense tracking
Document and organize all business-related expenses

Must Have

3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance operations
Extensive hands-on experience with Shopify reconciliation and e-commerce payment processes
Demonstrated expertise in reconciling payment gateways and settlements
Proficiency in using Tally Prime
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data matching techniques
Practical knowledge of TDS compliance and payment procedures

Nice to Have

Experience working within a D2C or e-commerce brand
Familiarity with import-related compliance requirements
