About The Role and Team

eBay’s Collectibles organization is a dynamic and fast-evolving part of our business. It connects passionate communities of buyers and sellers across many outstanding categories like trading cards, arts & antiques, coins, and collectible toys.

We are seeking a Category Manager Collectibles to take end-to-end responsibility for one or more key categories within the vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and development of your category – shaping strategy, setting priorities, and driving initiatives that directly impact results.

You will collaborate with seller-facing teams and partners across functions to turn opportunities into action. This role involves working in a global environment and coordinating with international colleagues on issues beyond your local market. It combines methodical problem-solving with practical delivery across the main commercial areas of the business.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Own the performance of your categories, taking responsibility for business outcomes and steering the key levers that get results

  • Define and continuously refine the strategy for your categories based on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics

  • Identify and prioritize the highest-impact initiatives, and drive them through to execution

  • Use data to understand performance drivers, uncover opportunities, and inform decisions

  • Act as a strategic advisor to key sellers and partners, supporting their growth and strengthening their presence on eBay

  • Identify gaps in supply and selection, and onboard relevant sellers and inventory to improve category competitiveness

  • Collaborate closely with seller-facing teams and cross-functional partners (product, marketing, finance) to advance progress and eliminate obstacles

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years of work experience; prior experience in strategy consulting strongly preferred, e-commerce experience is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach and a clear bias for action and tangible results

  • Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Experience working cross-functionally and driving alignment across diverse collaborators

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners

  • Confidence in using data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive performance
