At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an DevSecOps Engineer to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Support the DevSecOps initiative by evaluating, integrating, and maintaining security solutions, including the development of scripts and APIs to enrich vulnerability data.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Administer, configure, and optimize vulnerability scanning tools, including SAST and DAST platforms, to ensure effective application security testing.
- Design and develop Python-based automation scripts to integrate security tools with other systems and platforms.
- Support the deployment and integration of security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments, including containerized infrastructures (e.g. Kubernetes).
- Analyze identified vulnerabilities, assess their impact, and recommend appropriate remediation or patching solutions to improve application security.
- Perform security assessments and vulnerability scans using automated and manual tools, ensuring application compliance with defined security standards.
- Conduct technical compliance checks against baseline configurations for Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
- Monitor and analyze logs and security events, troubleshoot issues, and support resolution processes.
- Contribute to risk analysis activities, applying established methodologies and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with emerging threats and newly discovered vulnerabilities through continuous security and technology monitoring.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor’s degree in IT (or related field) with at least 6 years of experience in the field.
- Strong experience in application security and vulnerability management, including hands-on use of SAST and DAST tools and vulnerability scanning platforms.
- Good understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices, including integration of security within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with security tools across cloud (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and on-premises environments, including containerized applications (e.g. Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation, with good knowledge of Java.
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows systems, including security configurations and compliance checks.
- Ability to analyze vulnerabilities, logs, and security events, and propose remediation actions, supported by strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken).
