Job Summary:

The Inspector – Permitting and Licensing at BlackStone eIT will be responsible for ensuring that all projects and operations comply with relevant permitting and licensing regulations. This role involves reviewing applications, conducting inspections, and collaborating with regulatory authorities to guarantee that permits and licenses are obtained and maintained properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify documentation related to permits and licenses for compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to permit conditions and licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate with governmental agencies and internal teams to facilitate timely issuance and renewals of permits and licenses.
  • Maintain records of permits, licenses, inspections, and compliance status.
  • Report on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in permitting and licensing regulations relevant to the company’s operations.
  • Assist in training staff on compliance and permitting processes.

To carry out field inspections across Abu Dhabi to ensure that establishments engaged in petroleum product activities are operating in compliance with applicable regulations, permit conditions, and approved safety and technical requirements. The role supports effective field enforcement, compliance verification, timely reporting of inspection findings, and follow-up of non-compliance items. This inspector-level version is aligned to the uploaded Senior Specialist - Inspection JD, with planning and supervisory responsibilities simplified to execution-focused inspection duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in permitting, licensing, or regulatory compliance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of local, regional, and national permitting and licensing laws.
  • Experience conducting inspections and evaluating compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory agencies and processes.
