Your Opportunity
Our Product Analytics team is looking for a Senior Analyst to modernize and scale our data governance, help us uncover deep insights into our customer and user engagement across the product portfolio, and deliver relevant and measurable intelligence to Product leadership. Our goal is maturing the analytic capabilities of our product organization, and realizing what is possible with the incredible amount of business, user, and customer data New Relic generates.

- Conduct in-depth data analysis of product usage and financial data to identify trends, behaviors, and corresponding business impact to inform development decisions
- Develop and maintain a balanced set of KPIs that assess the success of product initiatives, including product adoption, revenue impact, and customer retention
- Create and present data-driven reports and presentations to stakeholders, demonstrating how product improvements positively impact the bottom line
- Stay current with emerging AI tools for data discovery, automated governance, and advanced analytics to make well-informed, data-driven recommendations

- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, including the use of AI-assisted workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to accelerate code development, automate documentation, and enhance data exploration
- Proven ability to independently lead the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, from building pipelines and data modeling to driving data governance by defining standards, improving data quality, and managing metadata
- Expertise in building scalable reporting and self-service dashboards using tools like Tableau or Looker
- Demonstrated history distilling complex findings into precise, actionable insights for executive leadership
- Practical experience applying statistical methods (such as regression, classification, or time-series analysis) to solve real-world business problems and validate product hypotheses
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with OpenMetadata or similar data discovery and cataloging platforms
