As a Java Software Engineer you will be responsible for writing code, design, and development of scalable and secure software for enhancing service capabilities and expanding the product portfolio. You will be part of cross-team engineering initiatives and a culture of high engagement, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Here is a breakdown

You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable solutions for Workspace ONE Freestyle.
You will be engaged in shaping product features in close collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders, including, but not limited to Engineering, Product, User Experience and Support teams.
You will be expected to produce software design and corresponding code with the highest quality and on time. You will be expected to be an active contributor to design and code reviews.

What will you bring to Omnissa?

Work with the engineering teams and product stakeholders to review and refine delivery requirements.
Write technical design documents and hold reviews.
Design software and write code primarily using Java, Spring Boot, AWS managed services and cloud best practices.
Build data and orchestration platform that span multiple services/products.
Perform work breakdown, plan execution in Jira for larger features/initiatives and deliver in a timely manner.
Actively contribute to achieve highest bar on automation test coverage.
Implement and improve processes around SDLC to enable developer productivity.
Participate and occasionally lead team agile ceremonies.
You will follow engineering standards and best practices.
Mentor and help build the next generation of technical leaders within your group.

Use AI‑assisted tools across the software development lifecycle (design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation) to enhance efficiency and quality.
Apply strong engineering judgment to evaluate and validate AI‑generated suggestions through reviews, testing, and design validation.
Contribute to evolving team practices around AI usage to improve developer productivity while respecting security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
