About the Team

Sujay Maheshwari has worked both as an Engineer and Product Manager at several startups and large companies in the US, London, and India. He has built and run a successful startup in New York with customers like HSBC, JWT, and several other popular names. For the past several years, he has been part of the cloud journey in various roles at Pantheon, Moody’s, HPE, Cloud Foundry, and other Silicon Valley companies.

Purusottam Mupunu excels in both SaaS and Cloud space. He has built and run engineering teams across the US and India. He is based out of Sunnyvale, California, and is an expert in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud technologies. He started his journey as a software developer and today leads Cloudanix’s engineering team.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pre-Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between our sales team and our customers, showcasing the value of Cloudanix's CNAPP solutions and helping prospects understand how our products can address their cloud security challenges.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, working closely with Account Managers and local partners within your territory
  • Educate customers about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape
  • Showcase security best practices and desired outcomes by building technical proof of concepts, demonstrating the value proposition of Cloudanix's solutions
  • Be the technical voice of Sales for all things related to security and compliance in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and others)
  • Develop relationships with technical teams in channel partners to ensure successful deployments and cloud security implementations
  • Act as a conduit for customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D teams to influence product features and requirements
  • Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops to illustrate the capabilities of Cloudanix's CNAPP platform
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute technical strategies for complex sales opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud security, DevSecOps, and related fields

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role, preferably in the cloud security or cybersecurity industry
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security concepts, compliance frameworks, and best practices
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code)
  • Familiarity with common cloud security challenges and solutions in areas such as identity and access management, network security, and data protection
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet during customer interactions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel (approximately twice a month) for customer meetings, internal events, and industry conferences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security
  • Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, or similar cloud security tools
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and GDPR
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within a SaaS or cloud security company
