This summer, we’re bringing on an AI Specialist Intern to help lead that charge.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to apply AI skills in a real business context — not a classroom project, not a simulation. You’ll work directly with our leadership and operations teams to identify where AI tools can reduce friction, improve accuracy, and unlock new possibilities across our firm. Your work could reshape how we operate.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and evaluate AI tools and automation opportunities across key business workflows — from client communications to data processing
• Prototype and test AI-assisted solutions using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or custom integrations
• Collaborate with the Digital Integration and Client Support teams to understand pain points that AI could address
• Develop documentation, playbooks, and training materials to support AI tool adoption across the team
• Research emerging AI trends in insurance, benefits administration, and professional services
• Assist with data analysis and reporting automation to increase team efficiency
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership with clear, actionable insights
• Support community-facing initiatives that reflect Austin Benefits Group’s commitment to giving back

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, AI/ML, or a related field
• Hands-on experience or coursework involving AI/ML tools, prompt engineering, or automation platforms
• Comfort working with APIs, no-code/low-code platforms, or data pipelines is a strong plus
• Analytical mindset — you break down complex problems and communicate solutions clearly
• Strong communication skills — you can explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates
• Self-directed and proactive — you see a problem and move toward it, not away from it
• Interest in insurance, employee benefits, or professional services is a genuine plus
