1. About the job
Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At World Courier (a Cencora company), we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here plays a role in helping us deliver on that purpose.
This role sits within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATS) organisation and is part of the Architecture and Analysis group for World Courier. We are re‑imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business.
The Lead Business Analyst plays a critical role in shaping and defining technology initiatives that support global specialty logistics operations, with a particular focus on supply chain visibility, real‑time information, and operational insight. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and delivery partners to ensure problems are clearly understood and solutions are well‑defined, valuable, and achievable.
2. Why this role matters
World Courier operates in a complex, fast‑moving, and highly regulated environment. Decisions often need to be made quickly, based on accurate, real‑time information across the supply chain.
The Business Analyst helps bridge the gap between business needs and technology delivery, ensuring that investments in systems and platforms genuinely improve visibility, decision‑making, and customer experience.
This role matters because clear problem definition, strong analysis, and shared understanding are essential to delivering solutions that work — not just technically, but operationally. The Business Analyst helps ensure we focus on the right problems, ask the right questions, and deliver outcomes that make a real difference.
3. What you’ll do
3.1 Lead discovery and shape business needs related to supply chain visibility
Lead engagement with operational, customer service, commercial, and product stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities across the logistics lifecycle.
Own current-state assessment of processes, data flows, and information gaps related to shipment tracking, milestone visibility, exceptions, and real-time insights.
Drive alignment on clear problem statements, scope boundaries, success metrics, and desired outcomes grounded in real operational needs.
3.2 Own requirements and partner on end-to-end solution design
Elicit, define, document, and manage business and functional requirements, ensuring they are clear, prioritized, and outcome‑focused.
Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and technical leads to ensure requirements are translated into coherent, end‑to‑end solution designs, including integration points and data flows.
Lead definition of future‑state processes, data needs, reporting/visibility requirements, integration points and operating impacts.
Manage requirement changes, tradeoffs, and constraints; drive timely decisions that balance user needs, operational realities, and technical feasibility.
3.3 Lead delivery alignment, validation, and shared understanding
Serve as the primary BA point of accountability for the workstream/program from discovery through implementation, ensuring continuity of context and clarity.
Facilitate workshops and decision forums to align scope, assumptions, dependencies, release plans, and change impacts across cross-functional teams.
Lead validation and business acceptance: define acceptance approach, ensure traceability from requirements to test cases, support UAT planning/execution, and drive defect triage and resolution.
Contribute to shared standards and ways of working within the Architecture and Analysis group.
4. What we’re looking for
4.1 You’ll thrive in our team if you:
Care about outcomes over copious documentation
Are curious, analytical, and comfortable working with ambiguity
Communicate clearly and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders
Enjoy collaborating with architects, technologists, and business partners
Believe analysis should be pragmatic, human‑centred, and value‑led
4.2 Experience that will help you succeed:
Significant experience operating as a Lead Business Analyst in complex cross-functional environments
Experience analysing processes and systems related to:
Supply chain, logistics, or transportation operations
Visibility, tracking, or operational reporting solutions
Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and stakeholder facilitation
Experience working alongside Solution Architects and delivery teams
Strong understanding of applications, integrations, data flows, and platform concepts
Experience operating in regulated or operationally critical environments
Comfortable working in both Agile and waterfall delivery models
We value tools and techniques — but we value judgement, collaboration, and clarity of thinking even more.
.
5. What success looks like in this role

Requirements are clear, prioritised, and aligned to real operational outcomes

6. Why join World Courier GDATS?

Play a meaningful role in a re‑imagined, modern IT function
Work on initiatives that directly support global, white‑glove pharmaceutical logistics
Partner with skilled architects, technologists, and business leaders
Develop your career within a respected global organisation
Be part of a purpose‑driven business that makes a real difference to people’s lives
7. How you’ll be working
This role operates within a global, matrixed IT organisation
You’ll work closely with architecture, product, delivery, data, and business teams
Collaboration across regions and time zones is part of day‑to‑day working
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements apply, in line with World Courier policies
